Cleanzone seizes digital opportunity
The coronavirus crisis continues to determine the direction of trade fairs and business platforms. Due to the rising number of infections and the associated travel warnings, Messe Frankfurt has decided, in close cooperation with the respective industry representatives, not to hold some other trade fairs in the global calendar of events in physical form. The Automechanika Sneak Preview showed with great success that the automotive industry wants to meet, network and educate itself, also digitally. The online series of events, consisting of webinars, workshop live streams and webcast discussion groups, will continue until 10 November.
Cleanzone is also going digital. Operators of cleanrooms and controlled areas from all branches of industry can find out about innovations in cleanroom technology at the trade fair in Frankfurt. Almost one in three trade visitors travel to Frankfurt from abroad. To give this international audience the chance to interact in 2020 despite the coronavirus travel restrictions, Messe Frankfurt is offering a digital version of Cleanzone on 18 and 19 November: with new business features for exhibitors, the opportunity to present products and innovations in multimedia form and the chance to actively network with customers, business partners and potential leads through AI-supported matchmaking. Visitors will also be able to see product demonstrations, take part in highly topical expert lectures interactively, vote for this year’s Cleanzone Award winner and follow the awards ceremony live.
New potential for lead generation
Even though a digital trade fair cannot replace a physical B2B meeting point in the exhibition halls, it offers new potential and opportunities: participating in a trade fair always involves effort and costs for a company, whether as an exhibitor or visitor. Digital participation is easier. This is a great opportunity to generate leads, especially for smaller companies that did not have the necessary capacities to take part in a trade fair before.
Networking via Messe Frankfurt’s digital services can also mean entering a new market. Trade fairs abroad which, like Hypermotion, offer additional digital formats or which, like Cleanzone, are even being held purely digitally, can be tried out and tested on an individual basis digitally. Everyone will then benefit from this increase in reach: exhibitors, trade visitors and the event as a whole.
